Wedding Wednesday// Details, Getting Ready, & Pre Ceremony
I am so excited that the next month’s Wedding Wednesdays are all about our wedding day! This week is all about some of the most fun moments of the day – getting ready! I am sharing our detail pictures, the cutest pics with my girls, the first look with my dad, and a cute gift I gave Matthew the day of!
We started the day off the best way…with Chick-Fil-A! I always knew this is what I wanted for breakfast for our wedding day. We had chicken minis, fruit, and orange juice!
My sister and I made a playlist the night before of the perfect getting ready songs so we had that playing all throughout the morning and afternoon. For lunch we had croissants and a buffet full of sandwich fixins’ – chicken salad, pimento cheese, turkey, ham, etc.
We had the best time getting our hair and makeup done & just hanging out. From what I heard, the guy’s had just as much fun too – lot’s of cornhole and reminiscing.
I knew I wanted my bridesmaids, mothers, and I to have some sort of getting ready outfit. I was able to find the perfect color pajamas that matched their dresses. I loved them so much! They were so soft and looked perfect in all of our pictures!
While browsing Amazon for last minute wedding things, I came across confetti that matched perfectly with our wedding colors, so of course I had to have it. It was a pain in the tail for my parents to clean up, but I had the best time taking pictures with it with my sister!
I knew I wanted to do a first look with my dad. After spending years watching and seeing first looks in videos and pictures, I knew I had to have one. It’s some of the sweetest and my favorite pictures from the wedding. I’ll always be a daddy’s girl!
Matthew and I didn’t give each other gifts, but wrote each other letters to read before the ceremony. I wanted to throw up something to give Matthew a laugh and help him with any “cold feet.” 😉 There was always this joke that I would not allow any camo in the wedding. He was always very understanding of this wish, lol. However, my Matthew isn’t himself without hunting, guns, and camo, so I found these camo socks on Amazon and he ended up wearing them on the wedding day!
I loved being able to spend the morning with my favorite girls and my parents. Everything went perfectly, and I honestly had convinced myself that we were going to make it through the day without rain. Little did I know, a storm was sure on it’s way! The last hour or so before the ceremony could have been so stressful. Somehow I felt completely calm & I honestly owe that to being surrounded by the best people!
I can’t wait to share the most important part of the day next week – the ceremony!
