My Story

In 2017, I graduated from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC where I obtained degrees in Dance Studies, and Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. Dance is my biggest passion, more specifically teaching! My dream is to own my own studio one day. While in one of my marketing classes my freshman year of college, we had to create a blog as a project. I really enjoyed the project, and had already been following along with a few bloggers on social media. This sparked an interested in me and I created my first blog. I kept it up for a few months, but then I started second guessing myself on if I was good enough and who all was judging my choices to write and share my thoughts and ideas on the internet. I was too scared that I wasn’t “cool” enough or had “enough money” to be successful. So I quit.

Fast forward 6 years and I decided to take a leap of faith and try again! Over the years I have found myself missing being involved with marketing and constantly tell myself “you could do this” while following along with blogs myself. I know there will be people who will laugh and judge, but at the end of the day who cares. In the crazy world we live in, and knowing that our time on this earth is short, there is no reason for fear of what others think, when the Lord is the only one who can truly judge us. So, here we are!

About Me

I am a 26 year old who loves all things southern! I am a newlywed as of June 20, 2020, and beginning to adjust to a new home, new life, and new beginnings! I am a full-time dance teacher who loves children and sharing my love of dance with them. When I am not dancing you can find me relaxing at home with my husband who is my best friend, and always makes me laugh. He is an avid sportsman, and loves to hunt and fish, and shoots sporting clays competitively. He is very much your stereotypical southern gentleman and I couldn’t ask for anything better! Even if he does want to fill the house with camo and his dead animals – we are learning to compromise! We are currently living in the cutest rental house, with plans to build our dream home on my grandfather’s land within the next few years.

My sense of style is very simple, classic, and southern. I love shopping on Amazon as well as supporting small businesses and boutiques! I am learning where to splurge and where to save (more emphasis on the saving!) I could live on Chick-Fil-A and am a sucker for a good bowl of ice cream. My favorite color is Lavender and Reeses are my favorite candy. I love a vase of fresh Hydrangeas and wish I was Joanna Gaines. My closet is full of bright colors, but our home is decorated with allll the neutrals. Country music is practically all I jam to – I love everything from the best 90’s country to my favorite “newbies” Luke Combs & Morgan Wallen. However, I will always love Luke Bryan, my favorite no matter what! I am obsessed with all things Christmas and am a December baby. November 1st-December 25th is the MOST wonderful time of the year! I wish I could spend all summer at the beach, and love a good sappy romance novel. I believe sweet tea and strawberry lemonade taste better out of a mason jar. I am very family oriented and am adjusting to not seeing my parents, younger sister, and family pup, Max, every day. Lastly but most importantly, I love Jesus and am working harder every day to strengthen my relationship with him.
