Updated Skincare Routine
I have posted about my skincare routine before, but wanted to give an updated one for the new year. A few months back I went in for my annual Dermatologist check-up. Since getting married, I moved practices and saw the sweetest PA at my new office. She was able to tell me exactly what would help make my skincare the most beneficial, what I really needed, and what I didn’t.
Below you will find a graphic with the steps I take both morning and night! I will link all of the products that I use below or on my LIKEtoKNOW.it, here. Here’s a little background information to help explain some of the steps!
– I shower at night, so I always cleanse and exfoliate while I am in the shower for my evening routine. I only exfoliate around 2x’s a week.
– If I am wearing makeup, I use the MakeUp Eraser cloths to take off my makeup before I cleanse.
– Vitamin C Serum is my most recent addition to my routine and it is so important! My dermatologist recommended one from Skinceuticals, but I have been loving one from Tula that is a lot cheaper.
– I don’t use eye patches every morning, but they really help my under eye area feel refreshed!
– I was also recommended by my dermatologist to wear a sunscreen daily, so I one from Tula as well! It works well with sensitive skin and doesn’t clog my pores.
– Both Clindamycin and Retin-A are prescription, and are great things for your skin. If you’re interested, ask your Derm!
– My dermatologist told me the top things to have in your skincare routine are a Vitamin C serum, Retin-A, and sunscreen!
– Regardless of what is in your routine, you want to make sure to put products on thinnest to thickest.
I hope this helps you create a perfect routine for you – we only get to have our skin once, and it is so important to take great care of it.
